Bell tower with secure and reliable mast climbersMast climbers on building Mast climber erected on a pile Building under construction with mast climbing work platform
  • Technical description of electric scaffoldingA self-propelled workstation supported by one or more masts composed of 1.5 m modular elements, which allow the platform to move up and down thanks to a self-braking electric gear motor and rack and pinion drive mechanism. When the desired height is reached, the end mast elements are developed, fitted with a mechanical safety limit switch. The vertical masts are anchored to the building either by welding the tubes to the plates, which are in turn blocked onto counter-plates, or using a tube and clamp system; depending on its model and size, the machine is anchored every 3/6 m. ..dettagli
In cases where particularly high facades or buildings need to be restored, mast climbers are almost obligatory for two main reasons: the first is practicality, the second is affordability. In fact, among the many benefits of these machines, one of the main ones is the minimal time required for assembly and dismantling as compared to traditional scaffolding, and consequently improved earnings for the user on the overall project. Furthermore, mast climbing work platforms allow personnel to position themselves at any height, reducing physical fatigue and facilitating the overall job. Using a ladder, it is possible to reach the station, which features at least one inward opening access door. This door closes automatically or is electrically locked so as to prevent the platform from moving whenever the door is not closed. The work deck is fitted with a guard rail, the top of which must be no less than one metre from the floor, as well as a toeboard at least 20 cm high, inserted along the edge and attached to the work deck. The electrical control board is mounted onto the guard rail of the climber, making it easy for the operator to view the upward movement of the station. The work deck should be at a distance of no more than 20 cm, otherwise a guard rail will need to be installed facing the wall. The underside of the work deck should normally free of obstructions; we reiterate the word “normally” insofar as our technical department is able to design plates and support bases for suspended platforms, so don’t hesitate to ask for our advice even in the most complex situations….
